Good selection of cars, and the price was competitive, not the cheapest, but competitive.
A car is a car, but I read lots of reviews which made me discount the cheaper rivals, that was one of three reasons I hired from here. The second reason was the transparent, levels of insurance cover they offer. The rest were vague, or missing something that you would expect in a 'comprehensive' zero deductible insurance package. The third was the mobile data dongle add on, and boy did I use that! It's not available with a lot of rentals, which made me keep coming back to this company. I used the dongle in my hotel too, so I had personal, 4G wifi 24/7
I hired a Jiminy 4 x 4, but was given a Duster 4 x 4, as it was a safer car given the weather and road conditions. That's a really good plus point for this company.
Pick up, had good clear instructions to follow to catch the car hire bus to the rental office, The administrative side of pick up was smooth and informative too.
The drop off was what I chose this company for, and avoided others because of. Iceland car rentals are truthful about the damage a car already has (labelled on the documentation and pointed out on pick up), and do not claim damage has occurred during your hire. This is even more important a point if you are not taking out extra insurance.
The only downside was waiting for the car hire bus to pick me up and take me back to the terminal. There's no clear bus stop outside the rental offices. (a three sided shelter would be a great addition) It was raining, but when it did arrive, the driver took me straight there as I was the only one on the bus.
When I go back to Iceland I'll definitely check them out first, as long as this company stay competitive they will get my business! More

The service was perfect. We had an issue with out of our beams (more than likely due to having to keep them on all the time) and we called up their 24hour service line. We bought a new bulb and got it fitted. Then upon returning the car the price of both the bulb and the fitting was refunded quite quickly.
The picking up of the car was super easy and the price was even better. More

Good service. booked a Suzuki Jimny initially but they said it was not safe during this time of the year.
I was happy about this decision as I was on the south part of Iceland on Saturday afternoon and was hit by strong winds. the car did very well. I saw another tourist really struggling in a Suzuki Jimny by the strong winds. More

Excellent service got a upgrade which was a surprise.the condition of the car inside and out was clean we had no issue with the car or the equipment we hires all worked with no issues,easy to take and bring back.
So glad we took out the top insurance would recommend this to everyone especially with the change of weather.
Would hire from them again when I visit next time

Even offered a coffee to send me on my way! Check out was also quick and easy. I would use iceland car rental over the bigger firms like Avis, Europcar etc from now on. Website clear to understand and easy to use, flexible approach to the use of debit cards. Extra insurance simple and transparent so you know exactly what your buying.
