So smooth, care free and easy! Daniel is an outstanding guy, he checked our car back in before our flight home and he was an absolute delight. We took a picture of our cracked windscreen within 10 minutes of picking up our car on 26th Jan and showed this picture to Daniel when we dropped it off on 30th Jan. Everything was perfect!! The car was perfect. The rental process was quick and easy. The employees were so friendly and helpful. It was absolutely worth it to pay for the hot spot wifi. We used it every day, all day! The return process was just as easy. When we return, we will rent from Iceland Car Rental again. More

Great service from Vaidas and Ima, can't recommend these guys highly enough
We received a lot of advice, tips and recommendations for places to visit and winter driving in Iceland
They provided us with a portable wifi device for use in and out of the car so we could have mobile data wherever we went
When we were running a bit late for our flight when returning the car and just missed the latest shuttle bus, they gave us a lift to the airport which was very kind More

This is our third time in Iceland and first time renting with Iceland Car Rental. By far this was our best experience with a car rental company there! As we were travelling all around Iceland in October, they ensured we had winter tires on our vehicle. Customer service was superb--Vaidas helped us on the pick up and return. I had an incredible trip!
Fortunately, I took out gravel insurance, because a storm hit and I had a chip in my window. They covered everything !!!
They were attentive to my needs throughout the trip and even suggested where I could see northern lights!

January in Iceland ! You need a good car. I had 4 adult to drive around so chose a Range Rover Discovery. Excellent car , felt safe even in the inevitable snow storms and gales. Easy Pick up and drop off. No fuss or excessive upsetting. More

Good selection of cars, and the price was competitive, not the cheapest, but competitive.
A car is a car, but I read lots of reviews which made me discount the cheaper rivals, that was one of three reasons I hired from here. The second reason was the transparent, levels of insurance cover they offer. The rest were vague, or missing something that you would expect in a 'comprehensive' zero deductible insurance package. The third was the mobile data dongle add on, and boy did I use that! It's not available with a lot of rentals, which made me keep coming back to this company. I used the dongle in my hotel too, so I had personal, 4G wifi 24/7
I hired a Jiminy 4 x 4, but was given a Duster 4 x 4, as it was a safer car given the weather and road conditions. That's a really good plus point for this company.
Pick up, had good clear instructions to follow to catch the car hire bus to the rental office, The administrative side of pick up was smooth and informative too.
The drop off was what I chose this company for, and avoided others because of. Iceland car rentals are truthful about the damage a car already has (labelled on the documentation and pointed out on pick up), and do not claim damage has occurred during your hire. This is even more important a point if you are not taking out extra insurance.
The only downside was waiting for the car hire bus to pick me up and take me back to the terminal. There's no clear bus stop outside the rental offices. (a three sided shelter would be a great addition) It was raining, but when it did arrive, the driver took me straight there as I was the only one on the bus.
When I go back to Iceland I'll definitely check them out first, as long as this company stay competitive they will get my business! More
