CANCELLATION POLICY

Following are the cancellation terms;
If you cancel 15 days or more before pick up time:
 - you pay nothing or you get 100% refund of what you have already paid.
If you cancel 0-14 days before pick up time or a no-show:
 - you pay 10% of the total or you get 90% refund if you have already paid.

AGE REQUIREMENT AND DRIVERS LICENSE

A full driving license must have been held for at least 12 months and must be presented at the start of the rental. Renter must be 20 years of age.

RESERVATION

In order to guarantee your booking we require a valid credit card number and expiry date. Also we require a valid email address.

RENTAL PERIOD

The minimum rental period is one day - 24 hours for rentals picked up and returned to the same location. When the return time is one hour or more after the pickup time, it is regarded as a full day. The first hour of every new 24 hour period is considered.

PICKUP AND RETURN SERVICE

We offer our customers arriving at International Keflavik Airport (KEF) a pickup and return service, at a normal additional charge. Free pickup and return service is offered for customers staying at hotels, guesthouses or other accommodations at the Greater Reykjavik area.

RETURN LOCATION

If the car is returned to non ICELAND car rental location, please notify us in advance via info@icelandcarrental.is or tel.: +354 415 2500 between 08:00 - 23:00.

CAR TYPES

We reserve the right to substitute cars when the reserved car type is not available.

FUEL TANK

The rental car will normally have a full tank of fuel. The car should be returned full.

CHILDREN SEATS AND CUSHIONS

In Iceland it is mandatory for young children to travel in safety seats while in a vehicle. Children seats and cushions are available if pre-ordered. These children seats are generally suitable for children from new born to 36 kg. Cushions are available for older children.

TAX

Local value added tax (VAT) 25,5% is included in all prices.
